GROWMARK / FS Internship Program Back Fully In-Person for 2022

With representation from 23 different community colleges and universities , it is no understatement to share that GROWMARK ’ s summer internship program is sought after by many . This year GROWMARK is hosting 34 summer interns working across 13 states and areas in Canada . The internship programs cover various career areas including agronomy , seed , grain , communications , accounting , energy , recruiting , human relations , sales , and precision agriculture .
Allison Mosher , GROWMARK ’ s student program specialist , says the ability for students to really get involved in their career interests makes this internship a sought-after opportunity .
“ Interns are able to gain personal and professional networking skills , and also hands-on knowledge within the respective areas of their internships ,” says Mosher . “ Interns are front row within their areas and get to do it all .”
Throughout the summer , interns are brought together for multiple networking opportunities , starting with an orientation at GROWMARK Headquarters in Bloomington in May . Interns came together again at the Mid-Summer Meeting in June and for the Conclusion Meeting in August . Throughout these gatherings , interns learned about the different FS Systems and heard from speakers within various areas of the company .

“ When I interned as an Agronomy Intern last year , we didn ’ t have the opportunity to participate in all of the normal networking events ,” says Jessie Lewis , a precision ag intern at Southern FS in Marion , Illinois . “ Orientation helped show different sides of the company that I didn ’ t even know existed , and how practices differ industry to industry .”
