The GROWMARK Lubricants Manufacturing Facility understands the needs of its retailers and works hard to ensure they can supply their buyers through any obstacle .
GROWMARK ’ s Lubricants Facility is located in Council Bluffs , Iowa , and has been operational since June 2006 . With a staff of 30 people , the facility does an outstanding job of formulating and delivering a variety of lubricant products to FS member cooperatives and other distributors .

Scott Rarig , lubricants division manager , has worked with the facility since February of 2007 . He described the process of manufacturing various lubricants .
“ Our facility brings in a mixture of base oils from the major refineries in the United States and works directly with four major additive companies to develop and then blend finished lubricants . The process looks like this : you will get either a single base oil or a combination of base oil that exhibits the necessary characteristics . You will then combine that with an additive package , blend the product for a specified amount of time at a specified temperature and run analytic quality control on the blend .
